desire to shop is back!!! + thoughts on ricari
monopoly money list with lots of chanel bags, city bags, summer dresses & many thoughts
dare i say i’m starting to feel inspired to shop again? maybe it’s the change of weather/figuring out my summer vibe.
i’ve been using the ultra violette sunscreen (as of now I’m loving) & got a whiff of that summery sunscreen smell. the sun is out. i got a targeted ad for a leopard print bathing suit & gimaguas posted these chanclas. suddenly i am healed & thinking of beach days & big t shirts.
which inspired me to book a treatment at ricari that left me feeling snatched & inspired to do all the things & get myself summer ready.
you’ve probably seen people post mirror selfies in this white onesie. i saw Gia (<3!) for the signature 95min treatment & obviously asked a million and one questions. lymphatic drainage is one of the many benefits but not the sole purpose. i think the easiest way to understand what the treatment even is would be to think of it as a spa like way to get things flowing on a cellular level. think recovery, cell turnover, cellulite battling, toxin releasing.
it feels medical and futuristic in a luxurious way. if you’re looking for an aggressive lymphatic massage then you might be disappointed. if you’re looking for something to get the things going & are interested in optimizing health in a beauty nerd way then you’ll love.
the actual treatment feels nice and not aggressive. it’s very gentle and almost ticklish but meditative. lots of kneading, rolling and pressure in a good way. that machine behind me has tentacle looking arms with attachments that glide over your magical suit. with said attachments you can target specific areas or concerns with your provider, making it an extremely customizable treatment. (love)
if you’re looking for something to help blood circulation, muscle recovery, and inflammation WHILE getting lymphatic drainage benefits go for it. if you just want intense instant snatchery I’d stick to a traditional hands on lymphatic massage.
the entire experience was very pleasant. i left feeling really light with that post massage bliss and a regulated nervous system. Gia is wonderful and super knowledgeable on all the beauty wellness things. extra points for great energy.
general consensus: if you want to treat yourself to a scientific spa like experience- do it.
if you want to see the full results- consistency is key.
i felt like it got deeper than a traditional lymphatic. this isn’t your typical debloat massage.
everyone’s big question- did i feel snatched after? yes. think detox and cellular repair.
as someone who’s standing on their feet all day for long hours & has other health things going on this is def something I’ll be incorporating into my routine 🤓
*i wish it were cheaper so i could do it more often.
update*** in comparison to a manual lymphatic massage i felt like this not only got deeper but delivered longer lasting results. i have since gone back to ricari and plan on incorporating it into my wellness routine.
i did go to sage and sound & enjoyed their manual lymphatic massage. that one included a buccal massage that felt soooooo nice.
they were 2 very different experiences. this specific manual massage delivered INSTANT results. i looked SNATCHED. especially in the face. but…. this lasted about 2 days.
ricari in the other hand i felt like the results got better in the span of a couple of days. over the next few days everyone was like wait… what’d you do? you look so good! in a perfect world i would alternate between both :)
sage & sound does include an infrared sauna after (which u should def do). ricari doesn’t have a sauna (that would make it absolutely magical and actual perfection). they’re like apples and oranges! also sage and sound just happened to be the last place i’ve gotten the manual one done. i realllly enjoyed the buccal situation.
some thoughts:
bought these shoes and used the t*rrifs as an excuse. (in pink but they’re sold out so here are the silver)
bought these Chanel flats and had no excuse other than a long week :) (here they are in another size for a nice price.)
want these alaia thong sandals. BAD.
rlly into metallics right now
while i’m talking about sneakers: vans will be making a comeback. i know ppl have been saying this here n there but i finally actually agree. I’ve started wearing checkered slip ons again.
need burberry bathing suit. very influenced.
i hate the amazon dishwasher pods (they literally just don’t dissolve and if! they do they leave everything streaky)- don’t skimp and get these. (felt the need to share)
i want the sandy bunny mini skirt.
